Emma leads the Jobs Hub team at BEST, supporting our mission to connect local people with employment, training, and education opportunities across Southeast Tasmania. In addition to team leadership, Emma oversee a range of organisational functions, including board support, HR, finance, IT, and operations, ensuring our work is community-focused and outcomes-driven. With over 18 years in human resources and recruitment services, Emma has built a strong foundation in strategic recruitment, HR, talent management, and leadership. Before joining BEST, she was part of the team that established the South East Employment Hub pilot project, which paved the way for BEST’s creation. Emma’s experience spans the not-for-profit, private, and franchise sectors, and has worked extensively across Tasmania with stakeholders and clients in government, community, and industry settings. Emma holds a Diploma in Leadership and Management, a Diploma in Human Resources, and a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management. Emma is passionate about empowering individuals and communities through meaningful employment, lifelong learning, and personalised support. Living and working locally, she is committed to helping our community thrive by supporting people and businesses to reach their potential. Emma enjoys to problem-solving, mentor, and share knowledge to foster growth in others. Her strengths include strategic thinking, relationship building, and cultivating positive workplace cultures. Emma is driven by integrity and continuous improvement, and actively seeks innovative and sustainable ways to strengthen our services, reflecting BEST’s values of Innovation, Empowerment, Integrity, Inclusivity, and Sustainability.

Outside of work, Emma loves being active outdoors, whether it’s walking along Tassie’s stunning beaches, playing sport with her sons, or cheering them on as their biggest fan. Emma can get a little competitive (especially during her annual family Laser Tag tournament!). She also enjoys good food, time with loved ones, reading, learning new things, and discovering hidden gems on road trips. Nothing beats a local getaway, or a good cup of tea and a chat.
