Entry-Level Barista Training

Coffeetunity is a joint initiative run in partnership between BEST and South East Tasmania Salvos. We run free one on one indivudalised entry level Barista Training.

This training opportunity is open to community members residing in the Sorell, Clarence City, Glamorgan Spring Bay, and Tasman council areas. If you live outside these regions, you are welcome to register your interest and will be placed on a waiting list. Priority will be given to participants from within the listed council areas.

 

Certificate III in Community Services

Certificate III in Community Services is the first step towards a rewarding career in the community services sector. This course gives you the skills to support clients in health and social services, while also learning to navigate challenges and build relationships within community services organisations that provide person-centred services and support individuals facing various challenges.

Learn communication skills, understanding the rights of clients and how to network and collaborate with sector partners.

Gain your nationally recognised community services qualification from educators with extensive experience in this growing sector.

Certificate III In Individual Support (Ageing and Disability)

This qualification reflects the role of individuals in the community, home or residential and disability care setting who work under supervision and delegation as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, following an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who may require support due to ageing, disability or some other reason.

To achieve this qualification, the candidate must have completed at least 120 hours of work placement as detailed in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing and Disability) qualification. Participants will also undertake HLTAID011 Provide first aid.

Certificate III In Early Childhood Education and Care

Early Childhood Education and Care is a growing sector with more parents than ever utilising Early Childhood Services in all its various forms.

Completion of this qualification equips candidates with the skills and competency to undertake the role of an educator in a range of early childhood education settings, working within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.
