Jason Massie is the Study Hub Manager at BEST, where he leads the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students across Southeast Tasmania. With more than two decades of experience in employment services, vocational education, and recruitment, Jason has built a career around helping people find the right pathways to grow, learn, and succeed.
Jason holds qualifications in Employment Services and Training & Assessment. Jason is known for his practical, people-first approach to leadership. He’s led teams through change, built systems that improve student and candidate experiences, and developed strategies that support long-term success. He values collaboration, clear communication, and empowering others to reach their potential.
At BEST, Jason is focused on making the Study Hub a place where students can thrive, not just academically, but personally and professionally. He brings a strong understanding of community needs, a strong commitment to equity, and a genuine belief in the power of education to transform lives.
He’s passionate about making education accessible, especially for students who are studying remotely, returning to learning later in life, or balancing study with work and family commitments. He brings a strong awareness of the challenges learners face and is driven to create spaces that are welcoming, flexible, and genuinely supportive.
Outside of work, Jason enjoys fishing and spending time on the local waterways.
