This year, Howrah Plumbing is hosting a “Try a Trade” session at our workshop in Electra Place, designed specifically for women who are curious about trades but may not have had the chance to try one in a practical, low-pressure environment.
On the day, we’ll have a series of realistic plumbing scenarios set up with simple faults, fittings, and problem-solving tasks that participants can get stuck into. No experience needed. No expectations. Just a chance to have a go, ask questions, and see what the work actually looks like.
Our female apprentices will be onsite throughout the session to guide participants, talk honestly about their pathways, and answer questions about apprenticeships, training, and working in the trade day-to-day.
