Tahlia Gasson is the Administration Trainee at Business and Employment Southeast Tasmania Inc. (BEST), and serves as the first point of contact for stakeholders, students, and community members engaging with the organisation. She manages daily communications across multiple channels, including social media, email, and phone—and ensures timely, professional, and friendly responses that reflect BEST’s values and commitment to service.
Tahlia supports the team with a wide range of administrative tasks, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a consistent online presence. Her role is central to maintaining strong engagement with the community and providing a welcoming experience for everyone who connects with BEST.
With a background in hospitality and retail, Tahlia brings strong customer service, communication, and organisational skills to her role. Her experience in fast-paced, customer-facing environments has equipped her to manage multiple tasks, respond calmly under pressure, and engage confidently with people from all walks of life.
Tahlia also brings valuable life experience to her role, having supported foster children within her family. This has shaped her compassionate and inclusive approach, and expanded her understanding of the importance of creating safe, supportive environments for others.
She is passionate about helping people find opportunities that contribute to making the region a better place, whether those opportunities are academic, professional, or personal. Her strengths lie in her dedication, care, and empathy, and she thrives in roles that involve helping others, coordinating outreach, and building positive relationships.
BEST is supporting Tahlia to complete a Certificate III in Business, helping her build foundational skills for her career journey. She is committed to learning, growing, and contributing to a workplace that supports the community and helps people achieve their goals.
Outside of work, you’ll find Tahlia booking her next travel adventure, caring for their foster children and reading books.
